自動車産業の次代を担う若者たちへ

日本自動車殿堂は、日本における自動車産業や学術界などにおいて、貢献された方々を顕彰されている。グローバルな展開を続けている日本の自動車メーカーにおいて、先人のたゆまぬ努力を風化させないという、文化的な側面からも重要な活動と言えるだろう。〝殿堂者の功績〟や〝歴史に残すべき名車〟を知ることで、日本の基幹産業である自動車やオートバイ業界を志す若者が、一人でも多く育ってくれることを私は切に願ってやまない。

Expectations for the young people who will devote themselves to the development of the next generation automotive industry

The Japan Automotive Hall of Fame has honored the individuals who had contributed to our automotive industry or technology. For our automobile manufactures which are keeping continuous global development, this activity is considered effective from a cultural viewpoint of preventing weathering their untiring efforts of the predecessors. I sincerely hope, through learning the accomplishments of the inductees and historically noticeable automobiles recognized by the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame, more and more young people will intend to participate in the automobile and motorcycle fields of the Japan’s fundamental industry.
