独創的な高い目標を掲げて挑戦

自動車およびモーターサイクルは交通手段、娯楽のため、そして競技のためなど、人類の幸福にとって掛け替えのない価値の高い製品である。独創的な高い目標を掲げて、世界に誇ることのできる優れた自動車やモーターサイクルを開発することは非常に重要である。その結果として、我が国の技術力の優秀性を世界に誇示することができ、さらには愛国心の向上と国威の発揚に貢献することを祈念する。そしてそうした挑戦者を日本自動車殿堂が顕彰することは誠に意義深いと考える。

Strenuous efforts to develop exceedingly valuable creative products

Automobiles and motorcycles are irreplaceable valuable products for happiness of mankind as tools for communication, entertain- ment and competition. Consequently, it is highly important to develop the excellent products of which Japan can boast to the world. These efforts enable to exhibit Japan’s excellence in tech- nology to the world. And moreover, I hope these efforts could contribute to promote the patriotism of the people and to en- hance the national prestige. Therefore I trust it is truly significant that the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who achieved excellent accomplishments.
