殿堂入り活動の重要性

現在、自動車社会を取り巻く大変革の流れが激流となって進行しており、今後、これが我が国に重大な影響を及ぼすことは疑う余地はない。
一方、これらを支える技術はソフト、ハードを問わず想像を超えて広範に及び、世界的規模での競争と連携が展開されており、いまこそ、若人の発想力とエネルギーが強く求められている。
そのような中で、先人の偉業を幅広く顕彰し、伝承する殿堂入り活動は彼らに勇気と活力ある行動を喚起する力となるものと確信する。

Significance of inducting the individuals who accomplished brilliant achievements into the Hall of Fame

Now huge revolutionary waves are flooding in torrents across the automotive society.
There is no room for doubt that the situation is causing serious effects on our country. The technologies of software and hard- ware supporting our society have been diversified extensively, and competition and cooperation are proliferating worldwide. Now the imagination and the energy of the young are being demanded. In this situation, I am convinced that recognizing individuals who achieved excellent accomplishments and inducting them into the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame will be sure to inspire courageous and powerful action in the young.
