日本の自動車産業は、戦後の復興を経て世界的な競争力を持つまでに成長し、国民生活の一部となり、経済の発展に寄与してきました。その発展は、先人たちの社会の変革や技術革新に対する強い想いと努力によって支えられてきました。
今日、自動車産業は環境対応をはじめ急速な技術革新が求められていますが、その手法は定まっているわけではありません。我々は、先人が追求したビジョンや試行錯誤を繰り返し達成してきた工程を道筋に、現代の課題を打破し、持続可能な未来を築くための新たな解決策を見出すことができるかもしれません。
次世代に向けた道筋を示す羅針盤となり、自動車の持つ力を最大限に引き出していただくよう、日本自動車殿堂の今後の活動に期待を寄せております。今後の益々のご発展を祈念いたします。

Learning from pioneers their spirit and endeavor

The automotive industry of Japan has evolved through the post-war reconstruction period and has grown to be competitive in the global market. It also has become a significant part of our daily life while contributing to the general economic growth of Japan. Such phenomenal success was made possible by strong determination of our predecessors for social development and technological innovation.

The automotive industry today faces many unprecedented challenges including global environmental protection for which we have no known solution. We must meet these challenges based on the paths our predecessors have taken as a guide and reach solutions to make our future sustainable and bright.

I would like to express my sincere expectation that Japan Automotive Hall of Fame would be a guide to lead our automotive industry to reach such global goals.
