Father of technological developments of automotive diesel engines

Paving the way for research on diesel engine technology for automobiles, as a leader in the manufacture of high-quality engines, Mr. Masao Ito made a remarkable contribution to the growth of our automotive industry, providing suitable compression ignited (CI) engines for light trucks and passenger cars. In recognition of these great achievements, the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame is honored to induct Mr. Masao Ito into the Hall of Fame.
