Dr. Kiyoshi Tomizuka

Born in 1893

Pioneering researcher on two-stroke cycle engine theory and research

As a pioneer of theory and experimental research on the two-stroke engine, Dr. Kiyoshi Tomizuka paved the way for further investigation on the workings of the internal combustion engine, and made a significant contribution to the growth of our industry. In recognition of these great achievements, the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame is honored to induct Dr. Kiyoshi Tomizuka into the Hall of Fame.

Dr. Tomizuka pictured in 1935, during his days as a Professor at Tokyo Imperial University. He was a specialist in two-stroke technology.
