Mr. Kiichiro Toyoda

Born in 1894

Founded the Toyota Motor Corporation and laid the foundation for later growth

Mr. Kiichiro Toyoda, as one of the pioneers in the Japanese automotive industry, founded the Toyota Motor Corporation. His success in nurturing new technology effectively laid the foundation stones for a world-leading industry. In recognition of these great achievements, the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame is honored to induct Mr. Kiichiro Toyoda into the Hall of Fame.

The first prototype (Type A1) was completed in May 1935, and is seen here about to embark on a test run.
